Lexi "This course provided me with an immense amount of knowledge and has sparked my interest in the natural world and environmental science more than ever. Any student who is curious about the natural world should absolutely consider taking this course; it is well worth it." | Clara "My time at Paul Smith’s College’s field ecology course was one of the best times I have ever had with being in nature and the professor’s dogs. I will most likely never be able to have an experience like this again as I get older. It was such an amazing experience." | Lily "I studied alongside many scientists who were teaching their favorite subjects, ranging from small mammals to botany. My days in Paul Smiths consisted of hikes, holding new animals and insects, and learning about nature I would never have known about in the south. I was able to expand my knowledge of ecology while exploring the Adirondacks. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I hope others will one day enjoy northern New York as much as I did." |
This course is ideal for anyone age 16+ interested in obtaining knowledge and skills about Adirondack ecosystems through college-level coursework. Students who complete the course will earn 4 college credits. Some online preparatory work is required.
